The ongoing farmers protest in the national capital against the new farm laws imposed by the government have been making the headlines for quite some time now. While the farmers have been fighting hard against the laws, it has divided the nation into two segments. And as thousands of farmers continue to protest at the Singhu border, the ongoing protest has received support from all corners of the world. Interestingly, the recent one to come out in support of the farmers is international singer Rihanna who has tweeted about the protest lately.

Sharing an article about the farmers protest, Rihanna tweeted, “why aren’t we talking about this?! #FarmersProtest”. While her tweet garnered a lot of attention, Diljit Dosanjh can’t stop gushing about the singer. In fact, the singer turned actor has released a song for Rihanna praising the renowned singer. Titled as RiRi (Rihanna), Diljit’s new track has been a peppy number dedicated to the Umbrella singer. Looks like Diljit is mighty impressed by Rihanna’s gesture towards the farmers and made sure the lady knows about it.

Here’s a look at Diljit Dosanjh’s tweet about his new song for Rihanna:

Not just Diljit, several other celebs like Shruti Seth, Swara Bhasker, Richa Chadha, etc have hailed Rihanna for supporting the farmers. Interestingly, apart from Rihanna, environmental activist Greta Thunberg had also supported the farmers protest. Taking to her Twitter account, Greta wrote, “We stand in solidarity with the #FarmersProtest in India.” This isn’t all. Amanda Cerny also took to her Instagram handle and shared a pic of women protesting with the farmers and wrote, “The world is watching. You don't have to be Indian or Punjabi or South Asian to understand the issue. All you have to do is care about humanity. Always demand freedom of speech, freedom of press, basic human and civil rights-equity and dignity for workers. #FarmersProtest #internetshutdown”.
