The trailer of The Accidental Prime Minister that chronicles former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's tenure in the Congress office is out and the Twitterati have loved it. It has surely evolved reactions but Kher has done a remarkable job. Kher has Manmohan Singh’s soft voice and he has adopted all his mannerisms. Directed by Vijay Gutte, it is based on Sanjaya Baru’s 2014 memoir of the same name, and will be released on January 11, 2019. The Accidental Prime Minister's trailer gives a glimpse into the internal functioning of the Congress party. 

Celebs and fans have been appreciating the trailer. Rishi Kapoor, who’s close to Anupam Kher, is all praises for the trailer of The Accidental Prime Minister. He tweeted, “What a wonderful trailer of a film promising to be political yet interesting. @AnupamPKher your passion for your craft is what I hope you teach at your film school. And how smashing does our Akshay Khanna look! Congratulations beforehand!.”

A while back, there was a video of both Rishi and Anupam going viral. The two were seen walking on the streets of Manhattan. Kher also shared a message for Rishi who is undergoing treatment in the USA. He wrote, “Dearest #RishiKapoor!! It was so wonderful to meet you & spend some time with you on the streets of Manhattan. You are such a great & entertaining conversationalist. Loved talking to you about India, New York, the magic of movies & importance of a ‘pause’ in life. Bahut Achcha laga aapse milke.”

Earlier, Rishi had informed his fans that he is “taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment.” He added, “I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It’s been 45 years “plus” of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon.”
