After the superhit success of his last outing, Golmaal Again, Rohit Shetty's focus has shifted to his next, titled Simmba.
Simmba, which is the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit film Temper, marks the first collaboration between Rohit and Ranveer Singh as well as Sara Ali Khan's Bollywood debut movie. The villain will be played by Sonu Sood.
Talking about the progress of the movie, Rohit revealed in an interview with a leading tabloid that co-producer Karan Johar is invested in the music of Simmba and have managed to finish the title track.
"Karan [Johar, co-producer] is especially looking into the music of the film. We are excited about the songs and have managed to finish the title track," Rohit revealed to the tabloid.

Meanwhile, during an EXCLUSIVE interaction with PINKVILLA, when we asked Ranveer about working with Rohit in Simmba, the actor stated, "I am so lucky to be working with Rohit Shetty, he is the king of masala films. People are looking forward to us working together and I am happy to see that kind of excitement level. These are the types of films I have grown up watching. Masala films are in my blood and I'm very excited to be working in Simmba. Better who than Rohit Shetty, the king of that genre, so I m definitely looking forward."
"If I have to give myself credit, I have made my own luck and opportunities could come my way. Now that it has, I am over the moon and I can't tell you how lucky I feel in and as Simmba in a Rohit Shetty film. It's an incredible feeling," Ranveer added.
Simmba is slated to release on December 28, 2018.
