Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte starrer Netflix web series Sacred Games is receiving a lot of positive response. It is directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane.

Saif Ali Khan plays a cop called Sartaj Singh, Nawaz is seen as a gangster Ganesh Gaitonde and Radhika Apte plays a RAW agent. In an interview with Indian Express, the actors opened up about the show and their characters.

About the show, Saif said, "We will be compared to a lot of international shows as well as actors. The cultural requirement and tone for the show are more international. It’s liberating for actors to compete internationally."

Radhika Apte said tha she has been watching shows on Netflix and to be a part of one of the show feels good. "I have been watching so many amazing shows on Netflix. So, to be in one of them is wonderful. It is exciting that audience in 190 countries will watch it together," said the Parched actor.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui said that his role of a gangster is not like the ones he played earlier as Gaitonde is very complex personality. The Raman Raghav 2.0 actor states, "You can’t gauge his mood. There is an internal struggle going on within him. It is a character with depth."

Netflix released 8 episodes of season 1 and many have binge-watched the show in a day. Saif, who made his debut on the small screen with this show says that shows are good to be watched on the big screen. However, it isn't possible when it has multiple episodes. About working on the small screen, he said, "This changes the whole morality around making a show. However, since Sacred Games is a premium show for Netflix, they have taken a lot of care for art direction and production."

From Nawaz to Saif to Kubra Sait everyone has knocked it out of the park. Finally a quality show from India

It's a really good show. From writing to execution everything is just top notch. I was pleasantly surprised

People who are commenting here have clearly not watched the show. Just read the reviews from The Wire, Hollywood Reporter, Variety etc. Everyone is praising the show.

The show has been getting positive reviews from international media as well. When country's most prolific directors like Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwani join hands you won't get anything else but sheer gold.

Kuch bhi.

It is an amazing show, watch it and you will know. I watched the whole thing in one night. I loved every aspect of it. Every single actor in the show is top notch and Saif is better than his laga Tyagi character from Omkara here, Sartaj Singh is perfection (this coming from a Sikh) right down to Saif’s Punjabi conversations with his mother. I am waiting for season 2.

You will eat your own words after watching the show. It's getting rave reviews around the world

Lol, Saif couldn't prove himself as an actor in India what is he blabbering about international. This nepo family lives in a bubble

take it easy meryl streep

Saif so wants to be international

Though Yes I have not seen. But I should say that Saif when given a good script and a director acts well.. He looks good too. He has his own place...Everybody cant be a Sachin Tendulkar.

It's actually a great show, amazing script, good acting, and yes - binge watched the show in a day. Negative comments are CLEARLY from people whom haven't seen the show and are only into masala films - LAME! Learn to appreciate and understand good productions coming out of India.

Great show

But your acting sucks by India standards too. The last time you or your dumb wife acted was many many moons ago.

Bwahaha ! International toh door, you can't even be compared to most actors India - you flop actor!
