With the #MeToo movement gaining momentum, more and more men and women are speaking out about the abuse and misconduct they have been subjected to. Many are naming the predators and shaming them publicly. The authorities are also taking note of the revelations and many powerful men have had to step down from their positions. Kailash Kher, Chetan Bhagat, Alok Nath, Nana Patekar and others have been accused of sexual misconduct and harassment. Today, Sajid Khan’s former assistant director shared a chilling account of her experience of working with the director.

Saloni Chopra shared that in 2011 she interviewed with Sajid Khan for the position of his assistant director. He asked questions like if she has ever been sexually abused or if she would ever get a breast job and opined how sex is about a mental connection. She broke down after the interview, but got the job. When she started working for Sajid, he said that she was a ‘director’s assistant’ not an assistant director. She writes that he started calling her at odd hours and asked what she was wearing or what she ate. He asked her to send him bikini photos as he wanted to check how she looked if she ever wanted to become an actor.

She faced repeated harassment and Sajid Khan always passed comments like she wasn’t sexy enough or didn’t have enough ‘oomph’. She mentions how he would say horrible things about his then girlfriend. Sajid Khan allegedly talked about the size of his dick and asked Saloni to touch it. His harassment continued and Saloni writes about an incident where he asked her to lift a skirt of a girl who was playing a role in his movie; he insulted her and commented that how did she think she would become an actress without having any breasts or ass.

When the harassment continued for months, on one night Sajid Khan asked her to come to stay at his house. When she asked him what she wanted from him and if it was about sex, she was ready only if he'd back off after that. Sajid yelled at her and told her that she was stupid if she thought it was only about sex. It was about being his 'little bitch' who does everything asked by him.

When she pleaded and asked him what it is that he wanted from her, "he said he wants me to do everything he tells me to. Stay with him. Maybe he'll ask me to touch myself in front of him, maybe he'll want to record it. He'll do things to me and give me orgasm and teach me the art of sex but maybe he won't actually put his dick inside me. Maybe he will. But it would be up to him what he wanted and if I thought casting couch was just about one time sex then I was foolish. No one would cast me unless I was ready to be their 'keep', Saloni writes.

The next time she went for shoot, she was petrified. Sajid asked her to write a column for him, she started writing. They didn't talk about anything else until Sajid Khan snapped, 'Spread your legs when you sit.'. When Saloni refused, he started again about how she was unattractive and then he tried to grab his hand and put it on his dick to show her that she did not give him a boner. He kept yelling, 'see? you don't even make me hard'

Saloni threw the laptop and walked out of the room. He called subsequently only to keep threatening her.

Not only Saloni, a freelance journalist has also spoken out against Sajid Khan. She narrated how during an interview he talked about his penis, flashed it and forced his tongue down her throat.

Was waiting for Sajid's name to pop up, here it is. First of all, he is a terrible looker and to add to that ordering women to do all this strange stuff is like a live suicide day in and out. If this is the standard of abuse and torture, can't imagine what all Jacqueline, Katrina, Aishwarya and so many others may have done with Sajid, Salman and others to get a career. Many of them were brutally beaten up black and blue aswell. And getting an average career despite all this, must be heart-breaking, no wonder so many ex-actors take to ashrams and God path to heal, it is all brutally traumatic - emotionally and physically. The victim in question is not the only one in the entire industry to have taken a choice of being abused in return of movie offers. Almost everyone male or female actor had to go through these very A-list directors/producers/actors to reach where they are - that's the only route to the top. The ones who choose dignity over films do not make it. Period. Like someone said, its as much about the abuse by such men as it is about women/men who accept that abuse in hope of movies. This divide between those aspirants who reject abuse vs those who accept abuse is what makes the safety system weak. If you don't do it, there are several others who will do it and few of them will make it. That's the only route to success in filmdom. But in such a scenario, does the ones who accept abuse in hope of movie offers become wrong??? Esp. when that's the only path to making a career in films? Why aren't the abusers completely and solely responsible for creating such a working path where no one but those who succumb to torture are allowed to make it?? This is similar to the criminal offence where a man lures a woman under the pretext of marriage and then leaves her - the woman accepts it in hope of return of something. This industry works the exact same way, why shouldnt this be criminal??? Farah Khan and Saroj Khan are also perpetrators themselves. Such an environment is exactly why female talent doesnt shine or is limited to art movies while only the female dancers make it to pseudo-actors.

This guy has some serious psychological issues...it more than just lust, he is sadistic...almost a psycho. He should not be allowed to direct a movie ever again and people should literally spit on his face in public. Such an ugly man inside and out.

Sayali bhagat had exposed Sajid khan, Arya babbar, big b & shiney ahuja's advances in 2011.But all was brushed under the carpet. No one believed her that time. But now I believe Big B too is no saint.

You are right, Jacqueline Fernandez must have been very very desperate to make it big in bollywood. She compromised on her scruples, morals and principles to date this guy. I don't believe she dated him for his looks or his money but for his influence in the bollywood movie industry. She wantef to further her career. It's a very cliched story.

Jacqueline became his girlfriend to get into the industry once she got a strong foot hold she bailed on him. She obviously left him because of his lecherous ways besides lets be honest he is no looker and she used him. He gets to sleep with an ex beauty queen for a while and she got a movie career. This reminds me of Sanjay Gupta and Sameera Reddy back then,it was a win win situation for both of them period.

To everyone who is saying let's not blame the victim, please read the few pages long statement she's made -- where she says "A part of me wanted it so bad (getting acting roles) that I kept working for him, and excusing his behaviour whenever I could." If you choose to go back day after day for months together and work and live and be in a relationship with someone so abusive just because you are desperate to get an acting role, you have serious issues of your own and you are responsible for putting yourself in such a horrific situation. You stop being a victim because you are choosing to go back every single day despite being treated inhumanely. (Pv...please post.)
