For over past few decades, the Indian Film Industry has churned out epic films and most of them have come from the three superstars, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. However, the last year seemed to go dull for all the three Khans. Shah Rukh’s Zero, Aamir’ Thugs Of Hindostan and Salman’s Race 3, bummed at the box office. However, despite the failure to click with the audience, Salman’s Race 3 managed to rake in over 100 crores at the box office.

In a recent interview, Salman opened up about the failure of the three Khans in 2018 and also revealed what he thought about Race 3’s run. The star of Bharat was quick to mention that his film did Race 3 earned about Rs 170 Crores at the box office which is huge in any way. Thus, despite the negativity and stuff being said about the film, it worked and made huge numbers at the box office which matters a lot. He even mentioned that since a long time in the industry, there are very few films which have touched a benchmark of 100 Crores.

Salman said, “Since the beginning of the film industry, not even 100 films may have touched the Rs 100 crore benchmark. Rs 100 crore is still a large number. I keep on saying, I hope ke jitni badi mega flop (aapko meri picture lagti) hai, main dua deta hu ke dusron ki picture utni hi badi hit ho jaaye. Even Race 3, which people say didn’t do that well, did a business of over Rs 170 crore, that’s huge. With all the negativity around it, the film still worked.”

Race 3 was a part of the Race Franchise and was helmed by choreographer, Remo D’souza. It starred Jacqueline Fernandes, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem, Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah besides Salman Khan. However, the film wasn’t liked by the audiences. Meanwhile, Salman is gearing up for the release of his next film, Bharat. Bharat also stars Katrina Kaif opposite Salman and is one of the highly anticipated releases of 2018. The film is based on the South Korean film, Ode to My Father and is helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Over the past few weeks, Salman, Katrina and Ali have been busy with the promotions of the film. Jackie Shroff, Disha Patani, Tabu, Sunil Grover are an integral part of the film. The music of the film is doing well and songs like Chashni female version, Turpeya, Zinda and Slow Motion are trending across all musical platforms. The film is releasing tomorrow i.e June 5, 2019.

Respect all the actors and full movie crew hard work

Stop hating, Salman Khan is a legend and working hard, everyone has ups and downs doesnt mean hes finished. Watch #Bharat

He’s so delusional. Race 3 is a commercial and critical flop

He needs to taste failure like srk.

Brian less fan of salman, don't know that which film is good or not, just wasting money behind flop movies of Salman,

He is delusional

Honestly thugs broke all opening day records and race 3 both these films did 150cr business.... it was zero whoch was a huge xmas disaster with only 90cr lifetime business inspite of all the positive feedback from the trailers and songs. Even the opening of zero on xmas was very low around 20cr.

Don't lie, the "film" was a disaster. It only made money because Salman's fans are very brainless and cult-like. Zero has a 33% on Rotten Tomatoes, Thugs a 23%, Race an 8%. Just really think about how low that is.

becausw of your stupid fans who are like you
