One of the much awaited releases of this year is Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Bharat. The film is based on the story of a man and his life across different eras. Bharat's release date had been declared long back and it was known that it will be releasing on Eid 2019. Thus, no other film is releasing around that time as Salman Khan’s film on Eid is a treat for his fans. However, still Bharat will be clashing with one of the biggest sports events for all cricket lovers and it’s the World Cup 2019.

Yes, As Bharat releases on June 5, 2019, Indian Cricket Team will play the first match against South Africa in London. Now, that might come as a surprise to many cricket and movie buffs as it would surely put them in a fix to go for a movie or to wait at home and enjoy the game. While cricketing fans were still deliberating over this dilemma, the producer of the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer has reacted to the news.

In a report by Bollywood Life, Atul Agnihotri mentioned that India treats Cricket and Bollywood as a religion and since he is a cricket fan too, he can understand the situation. However, he mentioned that due to technology, one gets all updates on the phone and hence, it becomes easy to do two things at the same time. Atul added that there isn’t much to worry if Bharat works.

He said, “Nowadays, people have access to new information on the phone every 5 minutes. I am also a cricket fan but a movie buff is a movie buff. We have an intended Eid release and we are catering to the audience who look forward to that. Both Cricket and Bollywood are religion in India, so it will be fine. If Bharat works as per what we have thought, it will definitely pass every test.”

Well, now the impact of this clash will be seen only when the day comes. Meanwhile, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are engaged in promotions of their upcoming film. Recently, Salman, Katrina and Ali Abbas Zafar went live on Twitter and answered many questions of the users about Bharat. Bharat is based on a Korean film, Ode to My Father. The film also stars Jackie Shroff, Tabu, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover. Bharat is slated to release on Eid 2019.
