Sanjay Dutt’s elder daughter Trishala Dutt might have been away from the limelight, but the lady has been quite popular on social media and happens to be a social media star. She is often seen creating a lot of buzz with her posts on Instagram and enjoys a decent fan following there. Recently, Trishala had an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Instagram, wherein the lady was quizzed about several aspects of her life. Amid this, one of the Instagram asked her about her father Sanjay’s drug addiction.

For the uninitiated, Sanjay is known for having an ugly past with the drugs which did take a toll in his life in many ways. While the Khalnayak star was addicted to drugs, the actor fought a tough battle and managed to overcome his addiction. Talking about the same, Trishala stated that she is proud of her father for admitting his problem and seeking help for the same. She said, “When it comes to my father’s past drug use, he will always be in recovery. It’s a disease he has to fight every single day. Even though he’s not using anymore. I’m proud of my father for admitting he had a problem, taking initiative, and seeking help for it. There is nothing, not a damn thing, to be ashamed about.”

For the uninitiated, Sanjay was even diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and even managed to beat the deadly disease last year. Talking about the work front, Sanjay will be next seen playing the lead antagonist in Yash starrer KGF Chapter 2. Besides, he will also be seen in YRF’s Shamshera with Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor.

Addiction about lying when Sadak 2 released he had Stage 4 Cancer and it disappeared without radiation and chemotherapy.

What!!? Still fighting? After claiming he gave up 10-20 years ago? Does a smoker giving up smoking that long ago still feel the urge? And can you really call addiction a disease??
