Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan & others meet PM Narendra Modi to discuss ways to celebrate Gandhi's ideologies
Last night, actors, as well as filmmakers, including the likes of Ekta Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Imtiaz Ali, and many others, met PM Narendra Modi to discuss ways in which Gandhian ideologies can be celebrated through cinema.
Time and again, the film fraternity has met our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and last night happened to be one such occasion. Actors, as well as filmmakers, met with the PM to discuss how members of the industry can help celebrate and mark Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary. Present were the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Kangana Ranaut, Ekta Kapoor, Imtiaz Ali, and many others.
Modi went on to say, "The power of creativity is immense and it is essential to harness this spirit of creativity for our nation. Several people from the world of films and television have been doing great work when it comes to popularising the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi." Meanwhile, Aamir, SRK, and everyone else went on to hail this move by the PM, and everyone took to social media as they shared photos and videos from the event.

Aamir Khan went on to say, "First and foremost, I want to appreciate PM for thinking about this effort [further popularising the ideals of Bapu]. As creative people, there is much we can do. And, I assure the PM that we will do even more," Aamir Khan said.
