Director Vikramaditya Motwane is famous for working on films like Udaan, Lootera, Trapped and many others. According to him, content-driven movies have mire value as compared to a star-studded one, in today's world. In an interview with PTI, Vikram spoke about Bollywood films like Thugs Of Hindostan and Zero, which didn't perform well on the box office, despite the mega star cast like Shah Tukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. On the other hand, films like Stree, Aandhadhun and Badhaai Ho were appreciated because of their story.
Motwane said, "As filmmakers, we were limited as we could make films for single screens, then it was mulitplexes but we had to stay within the two-hour format. Now we can take a film to streaming platform. All the trends in this creative space have shown that anything that is not content- driven is going to fail, no matter how big the star is." He further added, "It doesn't matter how big the film is if the story is not good, it will not be accepted. Stardom can maybe pull audiences to theatres but beyond that it is all about content."
Earlier, a source had said, “Vicky is already working on Sacred Games 2 at the moment. There are some issues with the edit and the team from the web platform is also working on it to make it bigger and better than the first part. This is now slated to stream from the month of July and there is work going on at a breakneck speed. After this, Vicky wants to work on a web-series and has already finished the script and is pitching it to actors. Vicky knows that his last two films were flops in the theatres and it is better to do projects that work."

Content is king. The days of massy commercial non-sensical plots are over. Audiences are intelligent and educated.

Hope this continues not just for srk but everyone who's involved in such movies

The immense failure SRK keeps experiencing proves that.
