Aanand L Rai's film Zero starring Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif released last year in December. The audience had a lot of expectations with Rai and Khan's collaboration. However, the film failed terribly to impress the audience as well as the critics. After Zero, SRK has not signed any film yet.

As reported by Bollywood Hungama, things are not fine between Shah Rukh Khan and Aanand L Rai. A source informed the portal that SRK is blaming Rai entirely for Zero's failure. Khan is extremely shocked by the failure of the film as he had put in creative and financial efforts in making it and had also put the film Don on hold.

Earlier, SRK and Rai have been spotted several times at parties together. However, now they won't be seen together, informed the source. A friend of SRK said, "They had mutually agreed to share a creative partnership. But after the release of Zero, I don’t think Shah Rukh even wants to see Aanand Rai’s face."

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan said in an interview that he doesn't plan to sign a new film anytime soon. The failure of Zero has hit him emotionally and he will take some time to announce his next project.

Cheer up SRk! I think that if a film does not work at the box office an actor’s work should not be ignored! You were brilliant in the film and deserved a filmfare award for the same. I think the story was not well written too much was put in to make the film work that itself was the disaster! Just like Amitabh Sir, he had his share of failure so there is a light at the end of the tunnel! You will shine again!

YUP. He blamed Imtiaz entirely for Harry met Sejal too. Both of those directors literally worked their way from the ground up, working with "supporting actors" as their heros like Jimmy Shergill and Abhay Deol because they were so small and made such popular movies to catch the eye of a King Khan. Then, when they actually made the movies with him, they had like 10% of their own unique style that made them popular, and were 90% SRK massy movie. Problem is solely SRK. I maintain that the only way he can get his groove back is if he does another movie with Aditya or Karan. They made him, they will not be so enamored by his stardom that they allow him to change their vision.

Whether the film ZERO is zero or Role of SRK is a flop one but role of Anuska is commendable. She should be rewarded in the proper platform

Anand rai was totally star stuck with srk and allowed him to mess the whole film up.
A director should be given the freedom and his vision and script and casting shud be implemented. Instead it's all about what the producer and the star wants..they manipulate casting and comprise on the script and what wonder it's a flop film. Srk needs to step away and just act.

The movie had very SRK feel. Like those yash Raj it Dharma movies devoid of any logic. It didn’t have any Anand L Rai flavour. So it’s easy to see who messed it up.

Did not SRK mess up Imtihaz Ali Jab Harry Met Sejal too? Problem is him, not directors

Shahrukh only has himself to blame actually. it’s a well known fact that he changed the script of Zero. how did a movie that actually had Katrina’s character as the lead ended up having a supporting role? Aanand Rai’s mistake is allowing him to change the script.

He built his career playing loverboys. No he's an old man and that's why his careers has been in the toiler for the past decade. The only thing keeping him afloat are his commercials.

SRK must allow the director to do his job

Srk is the producer of his films and he had all the power to improve the script but he didn't. He only has himself to blame. The problem is that Bollywood thinks people are stupid and will watch any nonsense movie but those days are fortunately over. Srk needs to adapt to the new Generation instead of doing bad movies like in the 90ies.

i think they're both nice people but SRK needs a director who doesn't get carried away by his stardom..a Zoya or Shoojit will put him nicely in his place and show that the director is the boss

Anand Rai messed it up royally. A director of his caliber and experience should have done better. One always needs to respect his audience and producer and should carry them along in the movie making experience.
