Shah Rukh Khan is currently garnering a lot of appreciation with his new show, TED Talks India - Nayi Soch. The talk show had been making headlines ever since its inception.

While shooting for an upcoming episode of Ted Talks India, Shah Rukh, who was so impressed with the Indian women’s cricket team skipper, Mithali Raj, requested her to train the players of his Indian Premiere League (IPL) franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

‘’I want you to be the coach for my team, KKR,’’ SRK told Raj, who replied, ‘’I would give it my best (if that happens).’’

The cricketer was a part of a special episode that celebrates the power of woman. A source told a leading daily, ‘’Mithali spoke to Shah Rukh about her struggles, the prejudices she battled to become a cricketer and the experience of making it to the World Cups final last year.Even before the shoot started, they had a conversation about the association.’’

So far, KKR has had senior coaches like John Buchanan, Dav Whatmore, Trevor Bayliss and Jacques Kallis.

About the show, Shah Rukh had earlier said, "People will share stories about changes in society, in life — whether it’s about the climate, dangerous diseases or to help empower women — and all of this will be integrated. There are some beautiful stories — both Indian and international — which the team is planning to get on one platform and do a nice mix of Hindi and English speakers. I feel it will be a niche show."

At the launch, SRK had said, "TED Talks India gives me a platform to just be ME," and added, "I'm not just a lover I've been portraying on screen but I'm love itself." The actor had also said, "Whatever ideas you have good, bad, ugly, they all have a place and you should express it and that's why there is TED Talks India." "Many-a-times I have not shared my ideas & seen it being used somewhere else and that disturbed me immensely," Shah Rukh had revealed.
