Ranbir Kapoor, who was busy working on Brahmastra so far, has begun working on his next project Shamshera. The actor has been quite excited about the movie and has also been working hard for the same. Recently, Ranbir’s first look from the dacoit drama was leaked on social media and the actor looked unrecognisable in the pictures.

A fan club dedicated to the Bachna Ae Haseeno actor shared his pictures from the sets of Shamshera where he was seen in a beefed up avatar. In the pictures, Ranbir was seen wearing a khadi vest and had wrapped a scarf around his forehead. Sporting a heavy beard, Ranbir flaunted his ripped biceps as he was surrounded by a group of villagers for a sequence of the movie. He had an intense look on his face and looked like he was performing an important scene of the movie.

While it was hard to recognise Ranbir, his transformation for Shamshera has left the fans awestruck. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time that Ranbir has surprised everyone with his dedication. Earlier, the Barfi actor had also stunned his fans when he transformed himself for Sanju where he had stepped into Sanjay Dutt’s shoes.

Talking about Shamshera, Ranbir called it a true blue Hindi commercial cinema and said that it has all important elements from comedy to action and drama. He also emphasised that his role in the movie is different from what he has done so far. ''Shamshera is not a story of a ‘daaku’, but a film based in the 1800s; it is about a dacoit tribe who are fighting for their rights and independence from the British. There was a great story of heroism, a story rooted in our country which actually happened back then,'' he said.
