SHOCKING: The Accidental Prime Minister trailer goes missing from YouTube; Anupam Kher shares his concern

Some Bollywood movies end up getting entangled in controversies even before they release. One of those movies which have landed into a political debate is Anupam Kher’s upcoming release, The Accidental Prime Minister. Starring Anupam Kher as Dr Manmohan Singh, the former Prime Minister of India, the movie’s trailer was released last week. After the trailer was launched, the political parties started using it as an issue and questioned the timing of the trailer and the movie.

Some Congress leaders even asked the producers for a special screening of the same. However, Anupam Kher reacted strongly to these requests and said that only if Dr Manmohan Singh asks for a screening, he will get it done. The trailer of Accidental Prime Minister was also trending on YouTube post its launch. However, in a shocking twist, the trailer was nowhere to be found just a few days after its launch. A number of fans shared their concerns with Anupam who then took to Twitter to question YouTube about the missing trailer. He posted screenshots of the same as well. He wrote, “Dear @YouTube!!! I am getting messages & calls that in parts of our country if you type,trailer of #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister, it is either not appearing or at 50th position. We were trending at No.1 yday. Please help. #HappyNewYear”

Isn’t that strange? Amidst all the political drama, a leading political party shared the trailer of the film from their official Twitter handle which lead to a huge controversy. Also, Anupam Kher expressed that in the movie, he has given the best performance of his life and would not like to back out from the same. The movie also stars Akshaye Khanna in the role of the media advisor-cum-book writer, Sanjaya Baru. The movie is slated to release on January 11, 2019.
