After the stupendous, or in Simmba language, ‘Mind-ich Blowing’ success of Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, it is only natural on the part of the cast of the film- Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, and Sonu Sood, to bask in on the success of the film and wrap around all the love and attention that they are receiving from the junta. It is always amazing to taste success and when it comes a little later in life, after truckloads of struggle, you appreciate it as much. And talking about Durva Ranade aka Sonu Sood, people have totally loved him in Simmba and some even say that only Mr. Sood could have pulled off the role.

And after the overwhelming response of the audience, an emotional Sonu Sood took to social media to pen a heartwarming note for his late parents. Sonu wrote, “Today when I sit and attend congratulatory calls from so many people on the success of my new movie, there is one call I miss the most... A call from you both. Today everything feels incomplete without you. Wish I could sit in a theater with you and watch my film. The applause and whistles would have justified the time I had spent away from you during my struggling days.”

In the note, 45-year-old Sonu Sood talks about the time when he failed as an actor and wished that his parents were there to witness his success as an actor. “In the initial years when I was trying to learn the craft, I remember your motivational calls and those inspiring letters, which I still have with me. Time flew too fast. Success came, but for whom I worked so hard for so many years, couldn't enjoy it. Sometimes I feel like I failed as a son,” Sonu wrote.

Simmba released on December 28, 2018, and in just two weeks, the film has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark, having earned Rs 212 at the box office. Recently, Karan Johar had thrown a success bash at his Mumbai house and from Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, Rohit Shetty, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar to Kajol and Deepika Padukone, everyone was in attendance at the bash. For all those who don’t know, Simmba is an official remake of the Telugu film Temper, starring Jr NTR.
