South Delhi street renamed in memory of Sushant Singh Rajput on 35th birth anniversary; Find Out Why
Sushant Singh Rajput was remembered not just by thousands of his fans, but also fondly by his friends in the Hindi film industry. From his co-stars like Shraddha Kapoor an Kriti Sanon to directors like Mukesh Chhabra and Abhishek Kapoor, many shared special photos and fond memories of the actor. Now, according to latest reports, a street in South Delhi has been named after the late actor to mark his birth anniversary.
According to a report in PTI, a stretch of road in Andrews Ganj in south Delhi has been named after the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The civic body cleared a proposal for the same after South Delhi Municipal Corporation's Congress councillor Abhishek Dutt moved the proposal in September 2020.
"It was cleared by the SDMC House in its meeting yesterday," a senior official told PTI. As per reports, Dutt revealed that the particular stretch is home to many residents from Bihar who were demanding that the stretch be renamed. An official statement read, “While Inder Colony is a slum area, the area councillor Abhishek Dutt argues that the reason for choosing this particular road, was because of the zeal SSR's movie 'Dhoni' created amongst the youth of the area," Zoom entertainment reported.
Meanwhile, several fans also paid tribute to Sushant as thy flooded social media. While some gave musical tributes, many others wrote heartwarming tributes for the actor on Twitter.
