Last year, Bollywood witnesses one of its biggest loss with Sridevi’s demise. It is still difficult to fathom that this Sunday will be Sridevi’s first death anniversary. The super talented and ever so beautiful actress had not just made a special place in everyone’s heart with her acting but also because she was a kind-hearted soul. The loss for her family including Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor was even more grave as they were one close knitted family.

Now, to mark her first death anniversary, Boney Kapoor decided to do something good. Boney Kapoor put up Sridevi’s Kota sari up for auction. He decided to do so in order to support a charity by the name of Concern India Foundation. Concern takes care of women, children, the specially-abled, the underprivileged and the elderly. It also works in the education sector. The sari has been put up on Parisera for auction where they have penned a heart-touching description of the same.

The website read as, “Sridevi's style have evolved since her early days in the film industry. But, the six yards has been a constant reminder of her roots. Being born in a South-Indian household, the actress has worn saris as a badge of her identity and has always infused a sense of unique charisma into its pleats.” While the bid started at Rs 40,000, it has now gone up to Rs 1,30,000.

Comments

Boney made money when Sri-jee had pulse and now without a pulse. Despicable human.

takes a fair bit of closure for one to be able to do this.

noone doubts the man loved his wife

Can't believe the negative comments.. It is so thoughtful of boney to put up his wife's saree on auction on the occasion of her 1st death anniversary and donating the proceeds to an NGO. Kudos to him..

still earning on her

Doesn’t he have money to donate that he’s selling sarees?

killer now making more money out of her, he made millions in insurance thats not enough

Boney is always into selling Sridevi's things, now he started selling her sarees.

its a good deed - deserves respect.
