Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma's Sui Dhaaga is much more and beyond the idea of patriotism. It is an emotional tale weaved with the thread of emotions, companionship, family, humour and of course, the journey of being unemployed to self-employment. Here are the 5 things we absolutely love in the trailer.
News,Varun Dhawan,Anushka Sharma,Sui Dhaaga - Made in India

Take a cue from Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma on how to blow our minds with their feisty choices. When Sui Dhaaga: Made In India was announced, we were ready for a high on patriotic feels kind of a movie with less or no humour and Bharat Mata Ki Jai slogan being chanted every 20 minutes. But guess what? Varun and Anushka's Sui Dhaaga is much more and beyond that. It is an emotional tale weaved with the thread of emotions, companionship, family, humour and of course, the journey of being unemployed to self-employment.

The journey through the eyes of Mauji and Mamta is so beautifully shown in the trailer that we really cannot wait for September 28, 2018, to witness the story unfold. The characters and the story makes you want to be a part of their journey to self-discovery and hooks you like never before. The 3 minutes 11 seconds long trailer is a sure hit, already! There are so many things to love in the trailer but we list down the top 5 things we absolutely, absolutely LOVED.

1. Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma

Yes, for us the biggest highlights were Varun and Anushka themselves. Who could have thought the quintessential hero of Bollywood would make for such an innocent looking Mauji and convincingly so? Mauji is a man with a self-deprecating humour, who is happy doing what he does. He isn't too ambitious till Mamta, his wife (Anushka) forces him to see the talent in him and encourages him to take up entrepreneurship. If you think October was Varun's best performance, Mauji might just change it.

Coming to Anushka, the actor is brilliant as Mamta, a woman of courage and self-reliance. She is an embroiderer by profession and Anushka nails the domesticated role like a pro. Draping a simply printed sari with a pallu, Anushka literally wears the garb of Mamta like the second skin. The mannerism and dialect which the duo has picked up for the movie will leave you stunned. Bonus points, there!

2. Plot:

The foundation of any movie is supposed to be its plot and boy, we love it. This is not an out of the box story, it is a simple and relatable story which will make you think and introspect without being on the face preachy. Mamta and Mauji can be any one of us and that is perhaps the essence of Sui Dhaaga.

3. Dialogues:

There is so much to take and understand in the trailer, however, what really tugs at our heart more than the visuals are the dialogues. From the first minute to the last, the movie has some really powerful dialogues by both Varun and Anushka. However, two of our favourite dialogues are:

Anushka: Apni Banayi Cheezo Par Apni Mohar Lagakar Bechenge!

Varun: Ab Zindagi Ki Cycle Pe Maarna Padega Pedal, Chahe Mile Na Medal, Kyun Ji!

4. Chemistry:

This is the first time Anushka and Varun have come together for a movie which makes us ask why? Why did it take you guys so long to collaborate? The chemistry looks top notch between the two with their struggles and happy times making us smile and cry along with them.

5. Locations/Background score:

The locations used in the movie are very localised which makes the movie all the more relatable. Not just that the strong background score just adds an extra zing to the beautiful trailer.

Aur kya? Baki sab badiya hai!

Sui Dhaaga has been directed by Sharat Katariya and produced by Maneesh Sharma and YRF.
