Akash Khurana's High Jack that was earlier slated for release on April 20, 2018, may get pushed for a later date due to Censor Board issues. It is learnt that the makers of Sumeet Vyas starrer were not happy with the CBFC's Executive Committee's decision and have hence decided to move to the Revising Committee.
The producers of the film are yet to receive a show cause notice from the Executive Committee about the issues they have with the film.
Regarding the same, a source informed, "The plot of the film is about a man unknowingly carrying a packet of drugs on a flight wherein the employees hijack the plane and the passengers get completely sloshed on the flight.''
The source added, "Drugs and Hijack is something that the executive committee of the CBFC did not approve of which has forced the makers to move to the Revising Committee.'
The other film slated for release is Hansal Mehta's Omerta which has been advised several cuts by the Executive Committee of the CBFC. One has to wait and watch if the filmmaker will accept the suggestions or not. The film is about Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, a British terrorist of Pakistani descent.
