The gorgeous Mrunal Thakur is having a great year so far. Born in a Maratha Hindu family, the actress began her journey in the Entertainment industry with the TV series Mujhse Kuchh Kehti... Hai Khamoshiyaan opposite Mohit Sehgal. It was with the hit soap Kumkum Bhagya that Mrunal came to prominence. The actress who was also seen in Marathi films, made her Bollywood debut this year alongside Hrithik Roshan with Super 30. Her second film Batla House opposite John Abraham also released recently and is doing well so far.

Mrunal has also featured in the International film Love Sonia which received great response. In a recent chat with DNA, the actress opened up about her journey and shared, “This journey has taken me seven years. It’s not been quick and every single day, I’ve dreamt of this. I had already shot for Love Sonia and Super 30 but their release was delayed. And that’s why all these three films have come out in such a short period of time.”

She went on to talk about her transition from TV and regional cinema to mainstream Bollywood and said, “On TV, it actually gets easy because you play the same character over two-three years. In films, it becomes difficult as you have to impress audiences with different characters and whatever screen space you get. For me, it was a do or die situation. The transition was difficult but not impossible. I have to thank filmmakers who are taking chances with TV actors and there is no stereotype. Now, they just cast the actor and the medium doesn’t matter.”
