One of the most talented actresses in Bollywood, Taapsee Pannu began her career as a model. She endorsed big brands and won several titles but reportedly lost interest after a while and decided to pursue acting. She made her debut with the 2010 Telugu romantic musical Jhummandi Naadam. With films like Vastadu Naa Raju and Aadukalam, Taapsee earned a name in Telugu as well as Tamil cinema. The actress made her debut in Bollywood with Chashme Baddoor alongside Siddharth, Rishi Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma and Ali Zafar.

Taapsee sure has come a long way from then and never looked back. The actress who has given hits like Baby, Pink and Manmarziyaan, spoke at length about being a star in a recent interview. She said, “There is only one superstar and the rest of them are stars. In my definition, stars are ones who guarantee you a certain opening, regardless of the film being good or bad. Actors like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ajith Kumar and Vijay are the big stars who command certain opening.” Taapsee continued to add, “The day the audiences walk into my film and say they bought tickets because Taapsee is in it without knowing anything about the movie, that day I become a 'star'.”

Speaking on her choice of roles, the Pink actress said, “I do films which have strong female characters. I don’t mind taking up small yet significant characters, which you will be remembered even if you walk out of theatres.”

Taapsee Pannu is currently gearing up for Ashwin Saravanan’s directorial Game Over which will release on 14th June.

She is an amazing actress, Mulk, Badla were fab.

She can't pull off glam looks that's another truth but looking glamorous is not everything what audience wants to see from an actress now.
