Takht: Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal & others all set to begin shooting in February 2020?
Takht's shooting will kick off in the last week of February and it will be a start-to-finish schedule over 170 days. Karan is working on the final edits of the script.
Karan Johar's Takht had created a buzz among the audience since the announcement of the movie was made. The movie's announcement along with its ensemble star cast was made on 9th August 2019 by director Karan Johar on Instagram. People got excited on hearing the cast of the movie which has Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Bhumi Pednekar. Karan Johar had last donned the director's hat in 2018 with Lust Stories.
After the 2016 film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Karan Johar is back directing a full-fledged Bollywood film with Takht. After announcing the film in August, the film is finally scheduled to roll next year by February end. According to Mid Day, Takht's shooting will kick off in the last week of February and it will be a start-to-finish schedule over 170 days. A source close said to Mid Day that Karan is working on the final edits of the script, while the team has been zeroing in on dates that are suitable for all actors. While several actors can work on their portions individually, Ranveer, Vicky and Kareena have several shots together and are hence needed during the same shooting window.
In Takht, Vicky Kaushal plays Aurangzeb and Ranveer plays Dara, Aurangzeb's elder brother whereas Anil Kapoor will essay the role of Shahjahan. Takht is the story about the enemity between brothers caused for the succession of the throne. Karan Johar is meanwhile busy promoting Good Newwz which is produced under his production house Dharma Movies. The movie which is all set to release on 27th December 2019 stars Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh.
