Tamil superstar Vikram's son rammed his car into three parked autorickshaws, early Sunday morning. The incident took place in the Tennampet area of Chennai. After ramming his car into the autorickshaws, he fled from the accident spot, leaving three people injured, reports India Today. As reported by Mirror Now, Dhruv's car didn't stop even when the police tried to stop it. His car came to a halt when it hit a wall near the Alwarpet area. The reports suggest that Dhruv was apparently accompanied by two friends in the car when the accident happened.
Vikram's son Dhruv is booked under section 279 (Rash driving or riding in a public way) and 337(Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the IPC. He was released on bail as the people who are injured in the accident didn't file any complaint. Earlier, it was reported that he was under the influence of alcohol. However, Vikram's manager issued a statement clearing that Dhruv was not under the influence of alcohol when he was behind the wheels. The statement read, "While returning from a friend’s house on early Sunday morning, Dhruv’s car crashed into autorickshaws. One person was injured in the accident and he was immediately rushed to the hospital. He was treated for his injuries and later discharged. We would like to clarify that the accident happened only due to lack of attention behind the wheels and no other reason."
Dhruv will be making his debut in the film industry with the film Varma. It is a remake of the Telugu superhit film Arjun Reddy. The film is slated to hit the screens, next year.
