Tanushree Dutta & Nana Patekar case: Police says complaint will be verified & inquiry will be conducted

Tanushree Dutta recorded her statement with the Mumbai police on Wednesday after she filed an FIR against Nana Patekar, choreographer Ganesh Acharya, director Rakesh Sarang, producer Samee Siddiqui under molestation and obscenity under the Indian Penal Code (IPC). She filed a complaint at the Oshiwara police station. Tanushree had been very vocal about her experience which she alleged happened int he year 2008. Reiterating she alleged that Nana harassed her on the sets of Horn Ok Pleass. 
 
On the other hand, Ganesh was accused of forcing her to do sleazy dance steps which she was uncomfortable doing. The Mumbai Police has now said that the allegations made by Dutta will then be verified and a detailed preliminary inquiry will be conducted regarding the same. Tanushree in her complaint also mentioned that Nana sent the MNS workers to vandalise her car and attack her after she exited the studio in 2008. She also claimed that an FIR was lodged at Goregaon police station during that time but no complaint was lodged against Patekar. 
 
 
Tanushree's case has emboldened a lot of women to come out and share their stories on social media. Among others, Alok Nath, Rajat Kapoor, Vikas Bahl, Utsav Chakraborty, Khamba, Chetan Bhagat have been accused of sexually harassing women. Varun Grover of Sacred Games has also been accused of sexual harassment by a woman. Following this, the buzz is that Netflix might cancel the sequel to the series.
