After Tanushree Dutta again spoke about the harassment she faced by Nana Patekar on the sets on 2009 film Horn Ok Pleassss, everyone wants to know what the Bollywood thinks about it. People want the celebs to talk openly about these incidents as it will pave a way for #MeToo movement in Bollywood just like Hollywood. While Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan's statements have left many people disappointed, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Swara Bhasker, Sonam K Ahuja have come out in Tanushree's support.

At an event last night, Varun Dhawan also said that we should make the industry a safe place to work for women, men and children. At the same event, the reporters asked Pooja Bhatt and Imtiaz Ali about their views on the Tanushree Dutta - Nana Patekar row. When Pooja Bhatt was asked the question she said, "Agar aapko lagta hai ke yeh manch sahi jagah hai itne serious cheezon ke baare mein baat karne ke liye, toh aap mujhe aadha ghanta denge toh main baat kar sakti hoon. Magar main yeh kahungi ke kabhi bhi kisi ki shikaayat hoti hai agar kisi ke baare mein, toh you should not count it out. And I don't think we should silence those voices. (If you think this is the right stage to talk aboout this issue, then give me half hour. But I would like to stay that if there's a complain about someone about something, you should not count it out.)"

She further added, "But I feel very strongly ke maine kabhi Bollywood ke support ki zaroorat maangi nahi hai. I am my own woman and agar koi aadmi ya shaqs mujhse koi badtameezi kare, main seedha court of law jaungi. Main na Bollywood ka support chahti hoon na mangti hoon. (I feel very strongly that I never asked a support from Bollwyood. I am my own woman and if a man or any individual misbehaves with me, I will director go to court of law. I neither want Bollywood's support nor do I ask for it.) TO expect Bollywood stand there and not stand, I find it very frivalous conversation. Ke aapne support kiya aapne nahi supoort kiya. If you believe strongly in what you stand for, then go out there. Truth does not need PR. Truth like fire, just birns. So if you believe in your truth go out there and speak it strongly. Do not expect anybody in the world to be holding  your hand and supporting you. Bollywood is a great place and it's a wonderful place and you can expect people's support for award ceremonies, for weddings and funerals. But for things and matters where you have to go through the fire of life yourself, toh phir apne khud ke balbude pe, apne khud ke pairon pe khade ho aur jaake duniya se lado. (But for things and matters where you have to go through the fire of life yourself, then you have to do it on your own, you have to fight the world by yourself) That is what I believe in and that is what I stand tall. I don't rely on a man or a woman and especially not my community to stand by me when I go through the fires of life. Which is why I have the courage to stand tall and I have the courage to stand alone."

The reporters asked Imtiaz Ali if there is a chance of #MeToo movement in Bollywood. He was also asked if there is some problem in the system of the film industry. The director said, "Yeh jo muddue or maamle hote hai, bohot sensitive hote hai. Sensitive tareeke se inke baare mein baat karna padega. Main samajhta hoon ke jab tak case ki information na ho, tab tak kisiko, matlab mujhe toh kuch bhi nahi bolna chahiye. Toh main iske baare mein yeh kehna chahunga ke jo keh raha hai wo zaroor kahe, usko pakka pata hona chahiye. System mein gadbad aisa nahi ke abhi hai pehle nahi tha, wo hamesha se iss tarah ke questions aate rehte hai kabhi dhake-chuppe toh kabhi public mein. Inko dabana bhi galat hai. Magar uchalna bhi galat hai. Magar sacchai jaan kar bhi inka bayaan karna aur sacchai jaan kar ke apni rai banana aur action lena bohot zaroori hai.  (These matters are very sensitive and should be discussed sensitively. I believe until you have no information about a case, no one, including me should not talk about it. So, I would say that whatver the person is saying, they should be sure about it. There are problems in the system and not that these problems weren't there earlier. Questions like this always come up sometimes in a hidden manner and sometimes in the public. It is wrong to suppress them and but one should not keep hurling them. But it is necessary to state it and make an opinion and take an action on it if one knows the truth.)".

More shocked with Imtiaz Ali’s statement Pooja Bhatt is part of the entitled lot of Bollywood Imtiaz like Tanushree are both from a small town - Jamshedpur- and are outsiders. Pathetic statement by him.

It seems Tanushree is seeking to create a movement that provides women a platform that voices injustice, intimidation, mobbing and harassment in the industry. Hope it succeeds and topples the wolves preying on lambs.

I LOVE Pooja Bhatt. WOman of steal she dealt with a violent loser and kicked him out without creating furor. She's a woman of her word, she dealt with her own situation in the same way she's advising Tanushree too! And to the posters questioned Tanushree's legal course of action? UMM She apparently has an official complaint that was made to the cinematic association, she has video footage and she has publicity. She CAN take this to court, she is REFUSING to. She is purposefully making this a social media farce and current affairs story instead of appealing to legal recourse. That makes it clear that she wants drama not resolutions.

I completely disagree with Pooja Bhatt's comments. She is completely wrong. Tanushree is right to demand that Bollywood provides a working environment that I free from sexual harassment and sexual exploitation. What happened to Tanushree happened in her working environment so she is well within her rights to advocate for a change in Bollywood's culture. Not to mention, social change comes from people collectively coming together to fight for more equality. Social change does not come from using the trope of personal responsibility.

It’s easy to spout courage and confidence when it’s supported with power and wealthy connections. Anyone can do it. Bhatt lady speaks with arrogance and attitude. If support is only for award shows and funerals, why do you seek the public’s endorsement to watch your movies? It takes immense courage to voice your convictions when you are neither rich or dripping with power.

The film fraternity didn’t even support an industry kid like Vivek Oberon who went outside and gave a press conference.. he was boycotted.. he did the right thing trying to expose Salman.. did an outsider woman like Tanushree have any hope???
