The trailer of Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Thackeray which is a biopic on Balasaheb Thackeray released a few days back and has been receiving mixed reviews from all the quarters. Many praised Nawazuddin for acing the late politician's look and mannerisms. But the trailer soon courted controversy to due to some scenes and dialogues in it. Actor Siddharth and many others called it a propaganda film. The Censor Board has also objected to certain scenes in the movie and the makers have been accused by many of encouraging hatred against the South Indians. And now, Nawaz' Gangs of Wasseypur co-star Richa Chadha took to her Twitter account to take a dig at his role.

She tweeted in a cryptic manner by using his GoW character name Faisal. She tweeted "अरे ई हमरा फैजल तो बाईपोलर निकला बे !" (Oh, my Faizal turned out to be bipolar). Chadha's tweet was shared over 800 times and received more than 3,000 reactions. Check out the tweet right here:

Chadha's tongue in cheek remark could be because in Manto which was Nawaz' last biopic movie, his role was totally different than what he is playing in Thackeray. Talking about the movie, apart from Siddiqui, the movie also stars Amrita Rao in the key role. Thackeray is written and produced by Shiv Sena leader and MP Sanjay Raut and is directed by Abhijit Panse. The movie is all set to release on January 25, 2019. What are your views on her tweet? richa comes across fake .

While I like Richa and believe she didn't mean this seriously, it is a very irresponsible statement. There are plenty of ways to make a remark jovially without using a serious medical illness as the punchline - there is enough stigma surrounding these issues as it is. Would she make a joke of cancer or AIDS like this?

shame on her for using a legitimate mental illness as an insult. backwards!!!
