One of the most-anticipated releases of the year, Thugs of Hindostan starring Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif released today. The movie is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Yash Raj Films’. Set in 1795, when India was ruled by East India company, the movie is about the love of freedom. The story revolves around Zafira who is the surviving one after her parents King Mirza Beg who was killed by the Britishers. Her guardian is Khudabaksh who then takes responsibility of her. How they avenge their death and in the process how they end up meeting Firangi, who turns out to be the most unpredictable characters of all, is the story of Thugs of Hindostan.

However, despite the stellar star cast and amazing performances, it seems that the Twitterati didn’t really like this tale of freedom and actually wanted freedom from watching the film. Some of them took to Twitter to share some funny memes about Thugs of Hindostan to sum up what they thought about the movie. These memes will surely crack you up and make you laugh out loud.

Take a look:

Aren’t they hilarious? Even though the story wasn’t the strong points of the movie, the audiences liked the performances of the stars especially Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan. The moments between Fatima and Amitabh Bachchan have been filmed with utmost brilliance and can surely tug at you heart. However, it will be interesting to see if the reactions of the audience changes over the extended holiday weekend for this Magnum Opus, Thugs of Hindostan.

Thugs were freedom fighters. Only that part of film is right. But they lived in forests , not ships. Trailer looked silly. Ships look like small boats.

Yashrajfilms is not the same anymore. I remember every time a yrf movie releases in the past we used to get so excited and straight head to the theater to watch it. I was not impressed by the trailer, we will see if it is a flop or blockbuster. U know these days... a flop film can become a blockbuster just because it has a Khan in it

Sub continent never had any pirates or carribean. We wore lungis and not the clothes from Pirates of the carribean and Games of thrones.

bwahahaha!!!!! Audience has moved on to good stories and good actors.

Nice lesson for Bollywood which is ruled by stars and star kids.

Bollywood elite has a lot of money to burn. When will they realize that story and trained actors are the real deal. Not stars and big budget

Just saw one of the meme.
