Traffic Signal turns 14: Kunal Kemmu recalls his character Silsila that moulded his perspective towards life

Kunal Kemmu, who made his acting debut with Mahesh Bhatt’s film Sir as a child actor, has been a part of many blockbuster films. He is known for his performances in films like Kalyug, Golmaal 3 Golmaal Again and Kalank. One film that showed Kunal’s versatility as an actor is Madhur Bhandarkar’s 2007 directorial Traffic Signal. As this film completes 14 years of its release today, the actor took a stroll down memory lane and recalled playing the role of Silsila that he believes "moulded his perspective towards life."

Taking to his Instagram handle, the Malang actor shared a picture of his character and a throwback clip while cherishing the old memories. Kunal also penned a sweet note thanking his fans for their unconditional love.  While celebrating the milestone, he wrote, “Here's to 14 years of this special movie. 'Silsila', a character that moulded my perspective towards many things in life. A big virtual hug to the entire team for their support & learnings I've received on shoots. And a big Thank You to my fans for their unconditional love. Reminiscing #14YearsOfTrafficSignal.”

On a related note, Madhur Bhandarkar also celebrated the milestone on his Twitter handle. Released on 2 February 2007, Traffic Signal is about the lives and travails of people living around a fictitious traffic signal in Mumbai.
