Uri: The Surgical Strike Day 1 Box Office Collection: 2018 has been a remarkable year for Vicky Kaushal as he shot to fame with Raazi and Sanju. Vicky has always been appreciated for his acting as it’s real and relatable. 2019 has also started on a fantastic note for the actor as his film, Uri: The Surgical Strike, which has hit the screens today, has been getting applauded by both the critics and the viewers. It revolves around the Indian Army's surgical strikes on Pakistan Administered Kashmir which took place in 2016 after the Pakistan Army had attacked Uri, which was considered the "the deadliest attack on security forces in Kashmir in the last two decades."

Yes, content is important, but then box office numbers are equally important for defining a film’s success. We got in touch with trade analyst Girish Johar to know the box office occupancy rate in the morning shows. He told us, “Uri started off quite well in the early shows and the occupancy is around 30% and the feedback that it's getting is it's going to increase to 50% in the evening shows. I am hoping for the good night shows as well." It’s a great beginning for the URI actor.

Yesterday, when we asked about the day 1 figure, he had told us that the film should earn around 4-5 crores on its opening day. Talking about his experience prepping for the action drama, Vicky said in an interview that it was stimulating for him. He got to witness an army man's life from close proximity, and he indeed feels privileged to play such a character.

Apart from Uri, Vicky Kaushal is looking forward to filming Takht, directed by Karan Johar and co-starring Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor.
