Varun Dhawan, who is currently busy promoting Kalank, gave one of his best performance in Shoojit Sircar's October. However, the actor and the movie did not receive their due nominations and awards in the several awards shows which took place recently. At a group interaction which took place on Monday, when the actor was asked if he felt snubbed and disheartened over it, Varun said that he did not do the movie for awards.

"The press needs to write about the film (not being nominated). Till date, I get at least one message a day for that movie... The award shows have a lot of other criteria (at play). I am happy to go, perform at these events and get paid for it. I never did October for awards. I did it because the script clicked with me. Awards will come and go. This film will stay," he said. Varun will be seen playing the role of Zafar in Kalank, which he touts to be one of his most difficult characters.

Meanwhile, Varun has a great lineup ahead. Apart from Kalank, the actor has Street Dancer in the pipeline alongside Shraddha Kapoor. He later has Ranbhoomi with Shashank Khaitan and Coolie No 1 with Sara Ali Khan. He is also rumoured to be a part of a biopic, however, no confirmations have been received on the same so far.

OH PLEASE. Varun was amazing in Gully Boy. Spare me the hate comments

Yes but you are still the main lead in Kalank. Karan uncle and mommy Alia will look after you since you are a nepokid. Who else would she work with in the movies.
