It all started with 2012-film Vicky Donor when 34-year-old Ayushmann Khurrana made his entry into the world of Bollywood and post Vicky Donor, there has been no looking back for this talented actor. Today, as Vicky Donor completes seven years, Ayushmann Khurrana is super happy and credits all the success to Vicky. “First film is always your most special one. Vicky Donor has given me so much love that I will be forever indebted to the film and my director Shoojit Sircar. It was the start of my cinematic journey and it made me learn a lot and shaped me as an artist,” Ayushmann informed us.

As we all know that it is quite difficult for an outsider to make a mark for himself/herlself in the industry and being an outsider, Ayushmann feels that the success of Vicky Donor gave him a sense of confidence to dream. Ayushmann said, “The film’s incredible success gave an outsider like me, a sense of confidence that I can afford to dream and maybe dream big. It was a pleasure to meet and get to know the entire cast and crew of this brilliant film and I thank Shoojit da for his belief in me,” adding, “Vicky Donor made me express myself as an actor and a singer and the success of the film and the song empowered me to explore and experiment as an artist. It was a humbling experience and one of the most important chapters of my life.”

On the film front, 2018 was a remarkable year for the actor as both his films- Andhadhun and Badhaii Ho, created history at the box office and won accolades by both critics and audiences. Next, Ayushmann Khurrana will be seen in Anubhav Sinha’s investigative drama titled Article 15 and romantic comedy film Dream Girl opposite Nushrat Bharucha.
