Vicky Kaushal & Aditya Dhar to team up again after Uri: The Surgical Strike for a period film on Ashwatthama?
When two creative people have worked together in the past and their union has brought forth a huge success, it is great for the audiences if they plan to team up again. Speaking of this, actor-director duo, Vicky Kaushal and Aditya Dhar of Uri: The Surgical Strike fame are planning to team up once again for a period film based on a character straight out of the Mahabharata. Not just Vicky and Aditya, producer Ronnie Screwvala is also in for this period project helmed by Aditya and acted out by Vicky Kaushal.
Yes, as per a report of Mumbai Mirror, Aditya had been working on the script of a film based on Ashwatthama, the son of Dronacharya. Also, Vicky Kaushal was the chosen one to play the historical role on screen. As per the report, the film will be mounted on a massive scale and will be shot in multiple locations in India. Vicky will be seen as the titular character and the film will be shot later this year. The trio of Vicky, Aditya and Ronnie want a mid-2020 release for the period film.
As per the report, “After Uri, the makers wanted to return with something big and interesting. Aditya has been working on this script since a long time, even before Uri released, and when he sounded out Ronnie and Vicky, they immediately jumped on board. The film will be mounted on a big scale and will be shot later this year. Aditya is already neck-deep in research and will go on a recce soon. The film will be shot all over India and the makers are targetting a mid-2020 release.”
After the massive success of Uri: The Surgical Strike, this surely is a promising project in the making for Vicky Kaushal and Aditya Dhar. Meanwhile, Vicky is also a part of another period film helmed by Karan Johar titled Takht. The film stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Anil Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor besides Vicky Kaushal. Apart from that, Vicky is a part of Shaheed Udham Singh biopic which is helmed by Shoojit Sircar. Vicky will start working on it soon.
