Vicky Kaushal began his journey in the film industry with minor roles in films like Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana and Bombay Velvet. It was in 2015 that he made his debut in a lead role with the critically acclaimed Masaan. He went on to win hearts and garner a huge fan following with his performance in films such as Love per Square Foot, Raazi, Sanju, Manmarziyaan and recently won the National Award for his latest release Uri: The Surgical Strike.

Today, the actor is known as one of the most adored and talented personalities of Bollywood. He is now gearing up for his upcoming projects which include the horror film Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship opposite Bhumi Pednekar and Shoojit Sircar's Sardar Udham Singh. Vicky will also star in Karan Johar’s much-awaited epic period drama Takht, which features an ensemble cast of popular actors such as Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar.

While Ranveer will be seen playing the role of Shahjahan's eldest son Dara Shikoh, Vicky will essay the character of his younger brother Aurangzeb. In a recent event when the actor was asked if he plans on outperforming the Gully Boy star, Vicky humbly replied that it is never the aim to outperform and he’s just thrilled to be sharing the big screen with Ranveer. He went on to share that the two have a great bond and Ranveer is always giving him guidance as he is a pro.
