Vicky Kaushal's film Uri: The Surgical Strike has become one of the highest trending and most successful films of all time. Despite the release of many other films in the past few weeks such as Thackeray, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, the film was still the most favourite choice of all the movie goers. Uri was able to collect more than the other films despite reaching its fourth week. In fact, the film has been able to equal the fourth highest Saturday gross of Prabhas' film Baahubali 2 which testifies that it has crossed a huge benchmark in the Bollywood film industry. The film is also estimated to show the same trend in the ticket windows next week. Uri stars Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Mohit Raina and many others in significant roles. The film is a dramatised account of the Uri attack of 2016.

Vicky Kaushal has now become a household name post the release of the film. One of his dialogues from the film, 'How's the josh' has become viral on social media. This dialogue was delivered by Vicky in one of the scenes of the film where he is seen heading for a mission with his team of armymen. Uri: The Surgical Strike happens to be the first blockbuster film of the year 2019. The film has already entered the 100 crore club and has been venturing for more. The film which is based on the 2016 surgical strike by the Indian Army was made on a budget of Rs 42 crores. But post its release, Uri has become one of the most profitable and highest grossing films of B-town.

Uri: The Surgical Strike was released in theatres all over India on January 11, 2019.
