We were treated to a wonderful throwback memory courtesy Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan. This time, last year, Ranveer and Sara were all over the place, spreading the contagious energy of Aankh Mare. The duo, who starred in Rohit Shetty's Simmba, ruled the small screen, radios and clubs with their peppy dance number. One year on, we still find ourselves recreating the hook step the moment the music plays, "Aankh Mare Vo Ladka Aankha Mare, Aankh Mare Vo Ladki Aankha Mare." But clearly, Ranveer has forgotten the steps already.

The actor, who reunited with his Simmba co-star at an awards show on Sunday night, played the dance number on the red carpet of the event. The actors were seen in full spirit as the music played began playing the song. Ranveer and Sara turned the red carpet into their stage as the music took over. While we found ourselves recreating every move with Sara, Ranveer wasn't on the same page.

The actor appeared a little lost when the song began and this gave Sara the opportunity to have some fun with the star. She openly "challenged" him to remember the steps. "I remember," Ranveer assured before he failed her "challenge." However, Ranveer made up for his forgotten steps by recreating the hook step with Sara.

Check out the video below:

We give Ranveer the benefit of doubt for he has had a lot on his plate lately. After Simmba, Ranveer was seen chanting "Apna Time Aayega" through the first half of the year as he shined so bright in Gully Boy. After this, he practiced the Natraj Shot for '83 and last week, the poster of his upcoming movie Jayeshbhai Jordaar was released, where Ranveer plays a Gujju boy. Haven't seen it yet?
