On 26 January 1950, India's Constitution came into force and the nation became a republic. Every year, on this day, we celebrate Republic Day in India. Like each year, this year too, the parade took place in New Delhi and the nation was filled with pride. On this day, wishes from celebs have been pouring in. Speaking of this, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, who embraced parenthood this month, also wished fans and shared their thoughts via social media. Virushka shared their feelings via their posts on social media. 

Virat took to his Instagram story and penned a wish for fellow countrymen. He expressed that the future of the country depends on what is happening now. With this, he sent out a wish to everyone. Virat wrote, "The future depends on what we do today. Let's be the strength of our nation and help it reach greater heights. Wishing everyone Happy Republic Day. Jai Hind." Not just Virat, Anushka also shared a wish for all fans on her social media handle. 

Anushka shared an animation featuring the tricolour flag of India as she sent out wishes to the nation on the occasion. With it, the couple expressed their pride in the nation together.

Meanwhile, Virat and Anushka recently welcomed their baby girl on January 11, 2021. The cricketer took to social media to announce the news. Recently, they stepped out to visit the clinic and it was the first time that they were papped after embracing parenthood. Since the birth of their baby girl, Virushka have been spending time with her at home.

Future depends on we using our privilige to hold our republic accountable for injustices against half of its population who are various minorities and the poor. Under a fascist regime white washing our freedoms by celebrating the republic day is not patriotism. Our future depends on holding this government accountable.
