The Allahabad High Court, today (October 12, 2017), has acquitted  Rajesh and Nupur Talwar in the murder case of their teenage daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj in Noida in 2008.

Aarushi Talwar, 14, was found dead with her throat slit in her bedroom in flat no. L-32 Jalvayu Vihar in Noida iMay 16 morning. The body of Hemraj, who was initially suspected of murdering her, was found dead in a pool of blood on the terrace of the flat the following day.

For long nine years, the case has been in the headlines. Bollywood producer Vishal Bhardwaj who made the film on the whole case, Talvar has tweeted about the verdict and wrote, "Justice delayed is NOT justice denied. Overwhelmed and deeply relieved upon hearing the news of the acquittal. #AarushiVerdict #Talwars." The movie showed both the sides of the story and was appreciated by both the critics and the audience. Vishal Bhardwaj also released an official statement which says, "We were questioned by a lot of people when we made Talvar even though we didn’t take any sides in presenting the story and maintained as neutral a viewpoint as possible. I am overwhelmed and relieved to hear of the Talwars’ acquittal and this strengthens my faith in the Indian judicial system. However, it still pains me when I think about the precious years lost in prison and the emotional trauma that the parents had to go through, so much so that they couldn’t even mourn their own daughter’s demise."

Not just Vishal Bhardwaj, veteran actor Kabir Bedi also took to Twitter and wrote in the favour of the verdict - "ACQUITTED!!! Rajesh and Nupur Talwar not guilty of #Aarushi's murder. Finally, justice prevails, nightmare ends. #AarushiVerdict."

How did justice prevail for Arushi? Her murderers are yet not identified! Why are these Bollywood celebrities so sure about her parent's innocence? I liked Vishal earlier but he lost my respect today.

They have been only given benefit of doubt & have not been vindicated because of completely botched up investigation done by incompetent police. They are still the usual suspects because only they are the persons of interests for the murder & no one else.

Everyone is forgetting about justice for the servant and daughter

How can you have faith in the Indian judicial system when the system could not give their daughter justice by bringing the killer to trial in 9 YEARS!!!

Losing a decade of your life to media trial, character assassination, police harassment after losing their daughter brutally...not really justice. And they were acquitted not really declared innocent

Seriously??? Who killed Arushi ?? Ghost

i hope the ppl who actually did this to her are caught..just hope it wsnt the parents..

They lost 9 years of their life. I can not imagine what they must be going through, How can parents kill their daughter, really horrible to see death of your child.. No one should go though that. I was so heartbroken to see their story.. I really hope they can now live in peace remaining years.. God bless the family..

Come on guys, of course they killed her! They caught her with the servant, acted in the heat of the moment, killed her, cleaned up her body, killed the servant, cleaned up the crime scene. Who else was there to kill her? Someone comes in your house, kills two people, leaves and you don't even know? Yeah right.

they are not acquitted for being no guilty.. they were acquitted by giving benefit of doubt

I thought that's Rajeev Masand and was scratching my head why is he's making headlines. LOL

Who killed her?

Whatever the truth is, my heart didn't want to believe that it was the parents.. What if they really didn't do it.. Going through the shock and pain of having to see your little daughter dead and going to jail as you are the prime suspect.. There couldn't possibly be a more painful life than having to go through all That they did..

Absolutely how can such educated parents kill their daughter,I just can not believe it, I am glad they are free now, I am so sure, its not them. I really hope so..

Its too late. What about so many years lost?
