Watch: Shweta Bachchan attends Ranveer Singh’s Gully Boy concert and enjoys it like a true blue rap fan

Yesterday, at the musical concert of Gully Boy, Shweta Bachchan was snapped cheering for Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the crowd.

Ever since the trailer of Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt’s Gully Boy dropped online, fans have been eagerly waiting for the film to watch one, Ranveer Singh as a rapper and two, watch Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh share screen space for the first time. Yesterday, at the musical concert of Gully Boy, Ranveer Singh performed with rappers Naezy and Divine for the first time on stage, and going by the concert, we can only imagine what’s in store for all the fans once the film releases on Valentine’s Day.  

At the concert, Ranveer was wearing silver jacket and neon separates, and the moment he sung Apna Time Aaega, the audience went berserk and were seen continually cheering for Mr. Singh. Thereafter, when Alia Bhatt came to the stage, the crowd chanted Gully Boy repeatedly. But amid the hundreds of fans, what caught our attention was Shweta Bachchan Nanda, a close friend of Gully Boy director Zoya Akhtar, who was cheering and swaying with the fans in the audiences. That’s right! While Ranveer, Alia and the Gully gang took the center stage, the cameras spotted Shweta in the crowd, enjoying like any other fan.

In Gully Boy, Ranveer plays a budding street rapper from the slums of Mumbai and in the film, Ranveer has sung several songs including Apna Time Aayega, Asli Hip Hop and Mere Gully Mein. Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, plays the role of an aspiring medical student. Last, Ranveer Singh was seen in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba and after the roaring success of the film, Ranveer Singh will be seen in the biopic of Kapil Dev titled ‘83’ and the film is directed by Kabir Khan. As for Alia Bhatt, after romancing Ranveer Singh in Gully Boy, the Raazi actress will be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmstra and Abhishek Varman’s Kalank.

Gull Boy is a musical drama and the film is based on the lives of street rappers of Mumbai- Vivian Fernandes aka Divine and Naved Shaikh aka Naezy, known for their song ‘Mere Gully Mein’.
