When Karan Johar revealed that his finale episode of Koffee With Karan 6 would feature Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor Khan on the controversial couch, we all collectively gasped with awe and bewilderment. For years, PeeCee and Bebo's professional rivalry had been at the forefront of headlines. In the initial years, the leading ladies shared a warm bond after starring together in Aitraaz (2004) along with Akshay Kumar. However, the rise to the top of the mountain led to a steamy competition and a war of words between the actresses over the years.

One such moment took place when Kareena had remarked that her film Heroine (2012) was a much better movie than Fashion (2008), both of which were helmed by Madhur Bhandarkar. Kareena took things a step further and stated she does not care for a National Film Award. Priyanka ended up winning her first National Film Award for her role in Fashion. When NDTV asked Priyanka about Kareena's obvious dig at her, the actress quipped, "Well I guess if you don't have one then you, then you know, sour grapes, what do I say?"

Before nepotism, there were camps in Bollywood. Taking a stand for the outsiders, Priyanka stated that when she started in the industry, she did not have many friends and hence could not be a part of any camps. Whatever she has done has been on her own accord and her story proves that anyone can become a star, irrespective of where they are from.

What do you have to say about Priyanka's retort back then? Let us know your views in the comments section below.

Meanwhile, we can't wait to see these two lovely ladies on KWK 6 and all the juicy gossip that is sure to be spilled over a cup of steaming hot coffee.

Kareena was amazing in Heroine, too bad the movie did not do good but she was exceptional. Fashion was a new story at the time that it came out and PC did her role well she is a good actress but that does not mean Kareena is any less of a good actress.

All of madhur's movies are about women chasing career, fame, love related illusions in a man's world.

Kareena didnt say anything about Fashion and she clearly stated she "doesnt care for the national award" and how is that relevant to PC, Saif also has a national award, PC was clearly all jealous of Kareena throughout her career and she took pot shots all along and while Kareena merely stated facts!!! And, now PC is irrelevant now days, while Kareena is still in the lime light!!

Priyanka spoke the truth. Fashion was a well made film with amazing performances. Heroine was a watered down version of Fashion.

bebo rocks

Fashion was a good movie...Heroine was on the same line so there was nothing new.It was like a repeat with very similar lines of how some women are abused in Fasion/Film industry, their insecurities and love life. After watching fashion I felt Kareena took the role to prove she was better but the storyline was old.

Madhur’s films are too dark and depressing, there’s more to life than being ambitious and sad all the time.

She was right!

Heronie was much better. Team Kareena always!

Yes in your dreams

Heroine flopped and Priyanka won the national award for Fashion sooooo

It was definitely sour grapes. Kareena didn't need to make that statement at all. Fashion was definitely a much better movie in my opinion. Madhur has really gone down after that movie.

Lol.i loved heroine kareena was exceptional.

Well it was
