The 36th game of the ICC World Cup 2019 will see Pakistan battle it out with qualifiers Afghanistan. After the thrashing against India, Pakistan has bounced back to defeat South Africa and New Zealand in successive games to keep their hopes alive. With games against Afghanistan and Bangladesh, they now have a realistic chance of securing a spot in the top four. The addition of Harris Sohail has lent Pakistan side the much needed firepower in the middle-order. Their bowling too looks stable with the likes of Mohammad Amir, Shadab Khan and Shaheen Afridi picking up wickets at crucial junctures.

Afghanistan on the other hand, has failed to win a single game in this tournament and are languishing at the bottom of the table. Barring the game against India at Rose Bowl, they have failed to put up spirited performances that could win them matches. Constant chopping and changing of the players has not helped the cause either.
