It's been 15 years since Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas starring Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit-Nene released and it was one classic film that we can still see and talk about the larger-than-canvas portrayal in the film.

From Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit's dance on Dola Re Dola to SRK and Jackie Shroff's camaraderie, Bhansali did a brilliant job in putting Devdas's life onscreen.

The film revolves around Devdas Mukherjee (SRK), whose life goes downhill after his family forbids him from marrying Paro, (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan). He then turns to alcohol and seeks refuge with a prostitute Chandramukhi (Madhuri Dixit Nene).

The dialogues of the film created waves all over the news. SRK -  Kaun kambakht bardaasht karne ko peeta hai, hum toh peete hai ki yahan par baith sake, tumhe dekh sake, tumhe bardaasht kar sake - this dialogue is still famous.

Today, SRK took to Twitter to say thanks to Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Jackie Shroff and Kirron Kher. He wrote, "15 beautiful yrs Devdas.Thx Sanjay Binod Bela @madhuridixit Aish Jagguda @kirronkherbjp & cast/crew for my fav film."

He also shared a selfie on the occasion. Check out and tell us about it in the comments below!

I agree Madhuri was on another level in Devdas but Ash was good too. Let's give her some credit. She was pitted against Madhuri but she still managed to do a good job. I mean she never looked any lesser than Madhuri. SRK was exceptional and I don't understand why people say he was not that great. Somehow it is Madhuri's character, her dialogues and those amazing dance sequence specially Maar dala that stays with you as a viewer. I was not her fan until I saw Devdas.

Who writes hateful comments? This magic ever happened again, among the actors, no! Forgive me, but this is one of the best, including the sounds of Music, after, I did not see anything, and Bajirao did not catch up, even the Darkness could not ((

The only thing that worked for me in Devadas was Madhuri Dixit top class acting and dancing. First half was boring and too long. This movie introduced me to Indian cinema.

the movie like all bansali movies was overdramatic and headache inducing. the only thing good about it was madhuri who brought a sense of balance with her natural acting. aishwarya looked beautiful rather her best on her screen to date apart from Jodha Akbar. SRK was so over the top it was painful to see him.

Film was overblown with sets, designs, costumes, and gaudy numbers to make up for mediocre acting (Madhuri being the exception). And why do stars feel the need to post these "throwback" pictures and posts? Is that the only way they can stay in the limelight - glob onto something big from 15 years ago for sentimental fans? *eye roll* good lord.
