Sridevi Condolence Meet: Akshaye Khanna, Farah Khan, Sanjay Kapoor, Mohit Marwah at Celebration Sports Club

Sridevi's mortal remains have arrived at Celebration Sports Club. Many celebrities are making their way to pay the last respects to the late actor, who passed away on February 24, 2018.

Sridevi's family members and friends from the industry and around are arriving at Celebration Sports Club to pay last respects to the late actor. The legendary actor passed away due to the accidental drowning in Dubai on February 24, 2018.

Sridevi's brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor, nephew Mohit Marwah along with Akshaye Khanna, Farah Khan, Nimrat Kaur among others. More celebrities and dignitaries are expected to arrive.

The funeral of the late actor will be taking place in the afternoon.

Yesterday Dubai Media Office tweeted from their official handle and confirmed the news about her mortal remains leaving from Dubai. "Dubai Public Prosecution has approved the release of the body of the Indian actress Sridevi to her family following the completion of a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of her death,” the official handle tweeted. 

"Dubai Public Prosecution stressed that all regular procedures followed in such cases have been completed. As per the forensic report, the death of the Indian actress occurred due to accidental drowning following the loss of consciousness. The case has now been closed,” another tweet read. 

Many Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and others visited Anil Kapoor’s residence in Mumbai to offer their condolences to the bereaved family. The family in a statement announced that the prayer meet and cremation of the actor will be held tomorrow starting at 9:30 in the morning.

Sridevi is survived by daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor and husband Boney Kapoor.

Gone too soon.

Just saw her inside the grounds. She's wearing a red sari, red bindi and seems like sleeping so peacefully. Beautiful as ever. No signs of such a traumatic death. Daughters and Boney look devastated. Enough of torturing this woman by the media. May she find moksha and rest.
