Kim So Hyun will soon be seen in the upcoming K-drama River Where The Moon Rises. The series marks her first attempt at action sequences in a historic drama. Fans have seen a few glimpses of it in the trailer as she wields a sword on the battlefield. As viewers brace themselves to watch the drama, Kim So Hyun has opened up about her experience of working on the stunt scenes in the drama. As reported by Soompi, the South Korean actress revealed that the idea of working with a sword felt foreign to her.

“It felt foreign to me because it was my first time doing action scenes with a sword, so I watched a lot of action videos. I filmed while asking many questions and learning from the stunt actors. I studied hard on what I could do to portray my emotions better," she said. Speaking about her character, Kim So Hyun said that Pyeonggang seems cold and unmoved sometimes, but she has a warm heart. "She’ll do anything for the things she has to protect," the actress added.

The actress added River Where The Moon Rises presented her the opportunity to portray many transformations in one project. "I focused the most on the acting portions. In particular, to seem different, I tried to make changes to the tone of voice while reciting my lines or my expression of emotions without overdoing it," she said.

River Where the Moon Rises is set to premiere on February 15.
