Legend Sachin Tendulkar asked the Indian team to stick to their brand of cricket as they take on New Zealand in the semi-final of the World Cup 2019. The extravaganza heads into the business end, with table toppers India taking on the fourth-placed New Zealand team at Old Trafford, Manchester on Tuesday. The Men in Blue had a good league phase, where they won seven of their eight matches, while the Kiwis, on the other hand, are coming into the clash on the back of three losses.

Though the league game between the two sides was washed out in the World Cup, they met in the warm-ups prior to the event, where the Black Caps got the better of the Indians. However, Tendulkar advises his team to stick to the basics in the crucial game.

"If we can stick to our brand of cricket, we don't need to compare ourselves with anyone. I would like to tell them when you play New Zealand and hopefully after that, stick to your brand of cricket. All the build-up that is happening is outside the team, within the team it is about preparation," Sachin was quoted as saying.

"New Zealand, it's a very good team and underrated. They have performed consistently well. It's not going to be a cakewalk for India. We have to go out and repeat doing what we have been doing for a number of games," he added.
