Sanjay Manjrekar, who has been in the news for his bizarre comments and his needless criticism of players, turned 54 on Friday, and Twitteratis had the perfect request for him - to quit commentary!

The former cricketer has stirred up quite a storm in the ongoing World Cup - be it for taking a dig at Sourav Ganguly, for blocking Michael Vuaghan on Twitter or for calling Ravindra Jadeja a "bits and pieces player." The all-rounder had ripped Manjrekar apart on social media, caling his words "verbal diarrhea", and later silenced him with his performances on the field against New Zealand in the semis of the World Cup 2019. He picked up one wicket and scored 77 runs in only 59 balls as he took his team close. 

On his 54th birthday, Manjrekar, who has previously beein involved in altercations with Sania Mirza and Sachin Tendulkar, was wished by cricket fans who also asked him to hang up his boots a final time.
