SHINee member Minho was discharged from military training on November 15. He completed his training with the Marine Corps before he reunited with his fellow SHINee members. Weeks after his discharge, Minho surprised fans by appearing in Lovestruck in the City. He played a small part in the Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won starrer but it was enough to leave the SHINee World gushing. Now, in his first interview since his discharge, Minho reflected on facing the camera for the first time since his discharge.

Speaking with GQ Korea, Minho revealed it gave him a feeling of starting anew. “The word that I love the most is ‘first’. Standing in front of the camera for the first time after being discharged gave me a feeling of starting anew. That day’s situation, feeling, and the weather still feels like it was just yesterday," he said, as per Koreaboo's translation.

Minho also reflected upon how his time in the military impacted him and said that the experience helped him to find himself at a deeper level. “I was able to think deeply about myself and find what I liked and where I lacked and even found things about me I never knew," he said. He added that he hasn't changed as such but he feels he understands himself more clearly.

Now that Minho is back, SHINee is preparing for the perfect comeback. He revealed that the group is discussing how to put SHINee's artistic side in the spotlight while staying true to their style.
