South Africa will take on West Indies in the 15th match of the tournament at The Rose Bowl, Southampton on Monday. While they have several injury concerns going into this game, they need to win all their remaining games to stay in contention for a knockout spot. West Indies on the other hand, bounced out Pakistan in their opening game before going down to Australia in their second fixture. The conditions at The Rose Bowl is likely to favor the batsmen and it would be a tussle between the South African bowlers and the West Indies batsmen. Both teams are desperate for a win and would want to return to winning ways and get their campaign back on track.

Trivia:

AB De Villiers has scored a century in each of the last three times that these two sides have met in a World Cup. His scores read 162 n.o, 107 n.o, 146 in 2015, 2011 and 2007 World Cup respectively.

South Africa have never lost 3 consecutive games in a single edition of the World Cup.

Hashim Amla requires 71 runs to complete 8000 runs in ODIs. If he does so, he would be the 32nd batsmen overall and the 4th South African batsmen after Jacques Kallis, Herschelle Gibbs and AB De Villiers to achieve this feat.

Chris Gayle who has hit 317 sixes in ODIs is only the second batsmen after Shahid Afridi to hit 300 sixes in ODIs.
