Allu Arjun is gearing up for the release of his next film, Raaka, directed by Atlee. Following the big-budget entertainer, the actor is set to collaborate with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for the tentatively titled AA23 (LK07). According to reports, the makers are planning to unveil a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video from the film's look test soon.
AA23: Makers of Allu Arjun starrer to unveil new look for Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial?
According to Gulte, the makers of AA23 are preparing to release a BTS video showcasing Allu Arjun's look test for the film. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj reportedly conducted the look test recently, and the footage is expected to be unveiled in the coming days.
Reports further suggest that the video will not be the film's official title announcement teaser but rather a promotional glimpse offering fans an early look at the upcoming action entertainer. However, the makers are yet to make an official announcement.
AA23 is an upcoming action film starring Allu Arjun in the lead role. In the announcement teaser, the actor is seen wearing the signature silver kada often associated with Lokesh Kanagaraj's films, hinting at a stylish, Western-inspired aesthetic.
The film's music and background score will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his first collaboration with Allu Arjun. Additionally, the "23 Theme," penned by Heisenberg, generated considerable attention online following its release.
Although not officially confirmed, reports suggest that Pooja Hegde may play the female lead. The actress has previously shared screen space with Allu Arjun in DJ: Duvvada Jagannadham and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
Recently, Lokesh Kanagaraj's co-writer and filmmaker Rathna Kumar described AA23 as "a proper pan-Indian film," citing its broad international appeal.
Allu Arjun’s work front
Following the blockbuster success of Pushpa 2: The Rule, Allu Arjun will next be seen in Raaka. Directed by Atlee, the film is expected to make extensive use of CGI and VFX, making it one of the actor's most technically ambitious projects.
In the first-look glimpse, Allu Arjun appears in a beast-like avatar. While the makers are yet to reveal further details, reports suggest that he could portray four distinct characters, with the story exploring the concept of parallel universes.
Deepika Padukone has been confirmed as the female lead. Reports also indicate that Rashmika Mandanna may play a key character, although the makers have not officially confirmed her casting. Sai Abhyankkar is composing the film's songs and background score.
