Allu Arjun starrer AA23 is expected to go on floors after the actor wraps up work on Raaka. Now, reports suggest that the team is set to conduct a trial shoot soon, and not just a regular photoshoot.
Allu Arjun’s AA23 to conduct a trail shoot for movie in Mumbai?
According to a report by Aakashavaani, Allu Arjun and director Lokesh Kanagaraj are currently engaged in the initial stages of AA23. Reportedly, the team is conducting a trial shoot with the Pushpa actor in Mumbai on June 26, 2026, rather than filming material for a first-look reveal.
With this new shoot, the film’s first official update is expected to be unveiled on a grand scale, potentially offering fans a major glimpse into the project. However, this remains a report for now, and no official confirmation has been made.
AA23 is an upcoming action film starring Allu Arjun in the lead role. In the announcement teaser, the actor is seen wearing the iconic silver kada often featured in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s films, hinting at a stylish, Western-inspired aesthetic.
The film will feature music and background score composed by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his first collaboration with Allu Arjun. Additionally, the “23 Theme,” penned by Heisenberg, has gained significant traction on Instagram Reels.
While not officially confirmed, reports indicate that Pooja Hegde may play the female lead. The duo previously worked together in the films DJ: Duvvada Jagannadham and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
Recently, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s co-writer and director Rathna Kumar stated that the film would be “a proper pan-Indian film” due to its broad international appeal.
Allu Arjun’s work front
Following the massive success of Pushpa 2: The Rule, Allu Arjun is set to headline Raaka. Directed by Atlee, the big-budget entertainer is expected to feature extensive CGI and VFX, making it one of the actor’s most technically ambitious projects.
In the first-look glimpse, Arjun appears in a beast-like avatar. While more details are yet to be revealed, reports suggest that he may portray four distinct characters, with the narrative exploring the concept of parallel universes.
Deepika Padukone has been confirmed as the female lead, while Rashmika Mandanna is reportedly expected to portray a key character. Additionally, Sai Abhyankkar is composing the film’s music and background score.
After Raaka and AA23, the actor is expected to collaborate with Minnal Murali director Basil Joseph.
