Allu Arjun is all set to collaborate with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for the upcoming film tentatively titled AA23 (LK07). While reports suggest that the script work is still underway, fresh speculation indicates that Pooja Hegde may be roped in as the female lead.
AA23: Pooja Hegde to co-star with Allu Arjun for a 3rd time?
According to online reports, also cited by Filmibeat, Pooja Hegde is being considered for the co-lead role in Allu Arjun’s AA23. The actress is reportedly in talks with the makers regarding the project. However, the team has not yet made any official confirmation.
Interestingly, if the casting rumors turn out to be true, this would mark Pooja Hegde’s third collaboration with the Pushpa star. The duo had previously worked together in DJ: Duvvada Jagannadham and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Both films performed well at the box office, making another reunion an exciting prospect for fans.
Pooja Hegde also made a cameo appearance in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s previous directorial Coolie. The Rajinikanth starrer featured the actress in the song Monica, composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

AA23 (LK07) is an upcoming action film starring Allu Arjun in the lead role. In the teaser, the actor is seen wearing the iconic silver kada frequently featured in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s films, hinting at a stylish, Western-inspired tone.
The film will feature music and background score composed by Anirudh, marking his first collaboration with Allu Arjun. Additionally, the “23 Theme,” written by Heisenberg, recently went viral on Instagram Reels.
Recently, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s co-writer and director Rathna Kumar revealed that the movie would be “a proper pan-Indian film” because of its international appeal.
Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde’s work front
Allu Arjun will next headline Raaka, directed by Atlee. The big-budget entertainer is expected to feature extensive CGI and VFX, making it a technically ambitious project.
Deepika Padukone has been confirmed as the female lead, while Rashmika Mandanna is reportedly expected to play an antagonist. The music and background score for the film are being composed by Sai Abhyankkar.
Meanwhile, Pooja Hegde is set to star alongside Varun Dhawan and Mrunal Thakur in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, which is scheduled to release on June 5, 2026.
The actress will also appear in the Thalapathy Vijay-starrer Jana Nayagan, which had previously faced delays before receiving an updated title card ahead of its theatrical release. In addition, she also has Kanchana 4 and DQ41 in her lineup.
